
National Latino Peace Officers Association Fresno County Chapter
Scholarship Application 2025
Any student who has demonstrated leadership, merit, commitment, to community service, and potential for academic achievement may apply for the Fresno County Chapter National Latino Peace Officers Association Scholarship.
ELIGIBILITY:
All applicants must reside and currently be enrolled as full-time high school Seniors within Fresno County to be eligible to apply, must excel academically, demonstrate a strong sense of social responsibility evidenced by public service and/or leadership abilities in school activities or through work experience.
Applicants must plan to attend an accredited college or university and provide proof of college acceptance and enrollment. A Criminology Major or Law Enforcement related field is not a requirement. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

ESSAY:
​
Write a 350-word essay to the NLPOA Fresno County Chapter focusing on the topic of “If I Were a Leader of My Community, What Would I Improve?” In addition to appreciation of your community and understanding of the importance of maintaining a high level of ethics and integrity, and the impact it would have on others, will be valued in your essay.
Scholarship recognizes students who show true enlightenment that goes beyond what can be learned from textbooks. Strong emphasis is placed upon leadership and academic performance.
Complete this application and attach the following requirement documents:
